Natural Vision Improvement
- Are you near-sighted or far-sighted?

Vision is important to all of us. When it becomes unbalanced, blurred, unhealthy, we want to be able to do something about it. Natural Vision Improvement is a lifestyle method of improving eyesight by wholistic means without the use of optical devices. The Bates Method merged with modern theories of brain function, character, and responsibility for one's self and state of being.
I will outline steps for a self-help program to help you improve your vision - you will learn how to help your eyes naturally! It is recommended to take a course of at least ten sessions, once a week for ninety minutes.

My role is as a facilitator, to show you ways in which you can learn to improve your eye condition.
We are using the following:
- Knowledge ...
... about how you developed your eye condition in the first place, and understanding of doctors' diagnoses and their prescriptions. Often, the little information that doctors give their patients is not explained. But it is important to know what is wrong with your eyes. And how often do you hear doctors say, "There is nothing we can do"?
- Self-Responsibility
In our culture, all we want is a quick fix. So we hand over our responsibility to doctors and optomotrists, and become victims. It is good to discover that there is actually something that you can do yourself to improve your own eye condition.
- Inter-relationship of body, mind, and spirit
You will understand that what you think is what you see. Your eyes, like any other part of your body, are reacting to how you feel in life. If you are tense, depressed, unhappy, anxious, frightened - your eyes will express that in one way or another. The eyes are not just your most important sense organ - they are also the windows of not only your soul but the whole of your mind and the way you are thinking. Whatever you are experiencing with your eyes, you will understand that your body, mind, and spirit are inter-related. And your eyes make you aware of this.
- 'Games' and good humour
We are using 'games' and good humour for you to enjoy improving your eye condition. To relax and let loose is so much easier when you are having fun. Drills and exercises usually do not work anyway, because you probably would not keep up with them for any length of time.

And, like children, the eyes want to be free:
they want to move around freely, to explore the visual world."
If you are right now experiencing a blur in the distance or at the near point, with good humour you will learn to accept the blur because you will understand that right you are unable to see clearly ... but ... sooner or later you will be able to see clearly ... and that attitude will open up all doors. People sometimes find the apparent lack of control that they experience when they are in a blur the hardest thing to accept. When you accept the blur as the vision that you have right now, then you can move on to improve in a relaxed and effective way.
- Visualisation
Visualisation helps your brain to produce visual images with a degree of clarity which you do not experience when you look at something with your eyes open. Through visualisation, you will get in touch with your feelings because you haven't the time to worry about something or think about something. In the visualisation process, you will listen to an entertaining story which totally absorbs your attention, or you will be asked to "Tune in to your eyes" (in other words, to focus your awareness on your eyes), to find out how they feel - and, if they could speak, what would they say! (This may sound extraordinary, but it is a very helpful tool.)
- Supportive positive attitude
This is especially important in groups, but is still essential in one-to-one sessions. You will develop a supportive, positive attitude towards your own visual development.
In a format that is:
- Adaptable to your lifestyle
You simply integrate it into your daily life. You don not need to find time for special exercises.
- Flexible
You can do it wherever and whenever you feel like it.
- Effective
Because you are enjoying doing the vision games, it is so effective.
- Maintainable
You can keep it up beause it's fun.
- Sensual and fun
It is 'sensual' because it wakes your body up and puts you in touch with your body and how you feel.
Results you can create for the physical improvement are:
- Better visual acuity to the point of not needing eye glasses.
- Coordination of the eyes at all distances.
- Increased speed of perception.
- Higher colour perception and awareness.
- Prevention of visual blur.
- Increased depth perception.
- Encouragement of the normal self-healing process of the body.
Possible results on other levels include:
- Increased ability to learn by activating the right (visual) hemisphere of the brain.
- Higher intellect (connective and analytical abilities) as the left hemisphere gets help from visualising.
- A more active memory based on visual images.
- Communication lines broaden as you build your confidence to talk to people through your eyes.
- Creativity and confidence grow as you start nurturing your own well-being and imagination.
